I am often asked "where did you study" as in where did I go to art school or attend an apprenticeship. Well the truth is...I have not had any formal study in art or painting. I didn't even take Art in High school!! I actually started my career by taking a few simple decorative painting classes like the ones I teach. Doing so turned out to be a life changing experience that has brought me a fulfilling, challenging, and expressive career.

When I first started teaching in 2002 I wasn't sure who would be showing up for the classes. I assumed the class would primarily be made up of other painters wanting broaden their abilities. But I was pleasantly surprised that the class was much diversified from designers, homeowners, existing painters, career searchers, and even mothers with their daughters sharing a fun afternoon together.

It is very important to me to make the classes different from the others that I have seen and taken myself. It is one thing to be able to teach and learn these finishes in a class room environment but another to know the "on site" tricks that save time, money and frustration. Apart from leaving the class with up to 3 or 4 useable, sellable sample boards I want you leave with the knowledge needed to apply the finishes on an actual project whether it's for yourself or a client. Everyone who takes these classes will acquire something positive that they can use now and in the future. Class size is limited to 10 people per class so that everyone gets individual attention.

The following is a pricelist of classes. In a typical class you will leave with 3 to 5 different sample boards. The cost of one class is easily recovered several times over by the money you will save or make from one small job!! 5 person minimum per class. Some specialty class prices may vary.

One Class: $290/per person
